About the Role
As a Bakery Sales Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating a delightful experience for our customers every day. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing exceptional customer service
Serving customers and operating the register
Merchandising and maintaining attractive product displays
Promoting products and assisting with sales
General cleaning and maintaining high store presentation standards
Working as part of a positive, supportive team
What We're Looking For
The ideal applicant will have:
A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A reliable and hardworking approach
The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
Great attention to detail
A neat and professional presentation
Confidence handling cash and using point-of-sale systems (or willingness to learn)
Previous retail,
hospitality or food industry experience is highly regarded but not essential
Availability
This is a casual position, and flexibility is essential.
We are looking for team members who are available to work a variety of shifts, with a robust focus on:
Weekends
After-school and evening shifts
Additional shifts during school holidays and busy trading periods
