About Coastal Learning Hub

At Coastal Learning Hub, we help primary students build robust literacy and numeracy skills in a friendly, supportive environment. Our small-group sessions focus on confidence, understanding, and practical strategies to help each student succeed at school.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Tutor to work with students in Years K–6. You’ll guide small groups through tailored lessons that follow the NSW curriculum, focusing on reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics. Your role is to create a calm, engaging learning space where students feel supported and inspired.

Key Responsibilities
Lead small-group tutoring sessions (no one-on-one) for K–6 students.
Teach core literacy and numeracy skills aligned with the NSW curriculum.
Adapt lessons to meet different learning levels within a group.
Provide encouragement and help students build confidence in their abilities.
Communicate with the Coastal Learning Hub team about student progress.

Who We’re Looking For
A patient and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys working with children.




Confident in teaching primary-level reading, writing, and maths.
Able to explain concepts clearly and encourage a positive learning experience.
Reliable, organised, and able to manage small groups effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
Studying or completed a degree in Primary Education or related field.
Experience teaching, tutoring, or working with children.
A current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
