Job Description

Two Hands Parramatta is seeking an experienced Head Cook to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Head Cook will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining consistent food quality and presentation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring an productive service.

The role requires solid experience in Italian-style cuisine, particularly hand-stretched pizzas, pizza dough preparation and classic pasta dishes, as well as experience with American-style fast-food and casual dining menu items.

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week, with a salary of $90,000 per annum + superannuation.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, season and cook menu items including hand-stretched pizzas, pizza dough, pasta dishes and American-style rapid food.
Oversee food preparation and kitchen operations during service.
Monitor and regulate pizza ovens, grills, fryers and other commercial cooking equipment.
Ensure meals are correctly portioned, plated and presented to consistent standards.
Manage food inventory, stock rotation, ordering and appropriate storage.
Monitor food quality, portion control and wastage.
Train,



supervise and support kitchen staff and kitchen assistants.
Allocate kitchen duties and coordinate workflow during busy service periods.
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
Ensure compliance with HACCP principles, food safety requirements and WHS procedures.

Skill & Experience
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent Commercial Cookery qualification.
Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience in a high-volume commercial environment.
Strong experience preparing pizza dough and hand-stretched pizzas.
Experience preparing classic pasta dishes and Italian-style cuisine.
Experience with American-style fast-food or casual dining menus.
Strong leadership and kitchen supervision skills.
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality during high-volume service.
Sound knowledge of Australian food hygiene, food safety and WHS requirements.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
