Our client is one of the largest groups of companies operating in South Australia, with diversified businesses including leading blinds and shutters retail operations and an award-winning boutique riverboat that travels along the majestic Murray River.

They are looking for a full time qualified Management Accountant to undertake and advise on aspects of financial analysis, accounting systems and processes, regulatory and compliance based financial reporting, auditing, solvency, and record-keeping accounting systems and their requirements.

Other tasks include and are not limited to the following:
Month end accounting including balance sheet reconciliations and journals
Preparation of daily cashflow forecasts
Preparation and finalisation of monthly financial reports tracking financial performance against budget and analysing variances
Preparation of reports for management and statutory reporting
Providing commentary on management reports and identifying areas for improvement
Undertake audits investigating and resolving financial discrepancies with thorough research, financial acumen, and critical thinking
Maintenance of internal controls




Preparation of taxation returns for organisations within the group
Coordinate and communicate accounting matters with other departments and off-site locations within the group.
Assist management with the preparation of annual reports
Analysing trends and financial performance across business units
Taking part procurement activities

Skills required
Sound knowledge of accounting and financial matters

Ability to work independently and with teams

Qualifications and experience
AQF Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Commerce or similar
Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience

Remuneration

This is subject to your skills, qualifications and experience with a salary package of $75,000-$80,000 per annum + superannuation based on a full time position.
