About the Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing mechanical equipment to ensure plant and machinery operate safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
Installing and commissioning mechanical equipment.
Maintaining pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors and other plant equipment.
Fault finding on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals.
Inspecting machinery and replacing worn or damaged components.
Using precision measuring equipment to ensure components are correctly fitted.
Completing maintenance reports and following workplace procedures.
Maintaining a protected and tidy work environment while complying with all WHS requirements.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
A recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification or equivalent.




Previous experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in mining, manufacturing, industrial or processing environments.
Robust mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience maintaining rotating equipment, pumps and conveyors will be highly regarded.
Welding experience (MIG, TIG or ARC) is advantageous but not essential.
Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Current Driver's Licence (preferred).
