About the role:

Reporting to the Operational Manager, as a Utility Surveyor you will undertake field tasks related to subsurface utility investigation projects, supporting utility survey and project teams to ensure project outcomes are met.

Key responsibilities:
Accurately locate, identify and mark all underground utilities to Utility Mapping colour code standard in areas as indicated within working instructions
Work with locating equipment including using standard handheld pipe and cable locating equipment and ground penetrating radar (GPR) to facilitate locating the utilities
Collect, record and manage utility data to meet project requirements
Interpret existing utility information plans and ground penetrating radar survey data
Manage workflow and assignment of projects, including preparation of BYDA information,



field notes and sketches
Training of trainee utility locators

You’ll thrive in our team if you have:
Experience in undertaking Utility Surveys using GPR (ground penetrating radar) systems, EMF (electromagnetic frequency) detectors and survey equipment
Concrete scanning experience
Proficiency in remote access to digital devices and technology
Solid interpersonal and communication skills

Key requirements:
Industry qualifications in utility locating (CertLoc. Certified Locator; NULCA Certification)
Construction Industry Induction card
Valid driver license
National Police Check
Working with Children Card (desirable)
First Aid Certificate (desirable)
