Yarrambat Kennels & Cattery is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and physically capable individual to join our team as a Casual Administration / Animal Assistant. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role combining animal care with front‑of‑house responsibilities, ideal for someone passionate about animals and confident in client‑facing and administrative tasks. This position will continue to expand/develop over time, with more focus on administration, client interactions and operational support.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This dynamic position involves both back‑of‑house animal care and administrative/front office duties. The successful applicant will be adaptable, dependable, and proactive – someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys variety in their work, and is eager to grow with the role as our business evolves.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR





Minimum 1 year experience in a kennel, shelter, vet clinic (non‑negotiable).

Full Australian working rights.

Current, valid driver's licence.

Confident with computers and learning new systems.

Physically fit and able to perform manual, on-your-feet tasks in a high‑energy environment.

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Administrative or customer service background.

Availability to work weekends, public holidays, school holidays, Easter, Christmas Day, and Current Year’s Day.

Preferred:

Experience using booking software (Gingr or similar).

Calm, confident, and professional communication skills.
