About the Role
This dual-role position combines both clinical dental assisting and front office reception duties. You will play an important role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional service from the moment they walk through the door.
Responsibilities
Dental Assisting
Chairside assistance to dentists and oral health professionals
Preparation and sterilisation of instruments and treatment rooms
Infection control and compliance with practice protocols
Taking and processing dental radiographs (where qualified)
Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies
Reception Duties
Welcoming and assisting patients
Managing appointments and scheduling
Handling phone enquiries and emails
Processing payments and health fund claims
Maintaining accurate patient records
About You
Essential Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional presentation and positive attitude
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and commitment to patient care
Preferred Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or Dental Receptionist
Experience using dental practice software (e.g. OASIS, Exact, Dental4Windows, Core Practice or similar)
Knowledge of infection control procedures
Certificate III in Dental Assisting (desirable but not essential)
