Cairns Urgent Care Clinic, located in the suburb of Edmonton, provides acute care and treatment for conditions that are not life-threatening but require urgent medical attention.
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a permanent full-time or part time position.
Clinic Hours
Weekdays: 8:00am – 10:00pm
Weekends: 9:00am – 6:00pm
Open 7 days a week
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and triaging suitable patients and delivering high-quality front-line care while working closely alongside General Practitioners in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments to efficiently triage patients
Delivering high-quality patient care and responding decisively to patients requiring urgent or emergency attention
Monitoring and responding to patient deterioration
Providing health education and advice to patients as required
Completing all clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A clinical background in General Practice and/or Triage
A compassionate, empathetic, and qualified approach to patient care
Robust critical thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends
Current ALS/CPR certification
Current AHPRA registration
