Maru Hifi is a contemporary Australian–Japanese fusion venue with a small, dedicated team and an emphasis on consistency, creativity, and high‑quality execution. We’re seeking a Head Chef to lead our kitchen, drive menu development, and maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations.

About the Role

You’ll oversee all kitchen functions, manage a small team, and shape the culinary direction of Maru Hi-Fi. The role includes regular evening service and occasional function work.

Key Responsibilities
Create and refine menus, seasonal specials, and function offerings
Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
Oversee prep and ensure consistent dish quality
Monitor and manage food costs
Train and support a small kitchen team
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards

About You




Experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef highly regarded
Confident leading a small team and working independently
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working nights and during occasional functions
