Located in Loganholme QLD 4129, BBC Painting QLD Pty Ltd operates in the painting and rendering industry, undertaking projects across the multi-residential, commercial and industrial sectors. The business is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Painting Trades Worker to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing work areas and protecting surrounding surfaces prior to painting.
Preparing surfaces by removing old or deteriorated paint, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.
Selecting and preparing paints and coatings to achieve the required finish.
Applying paints and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other appropriate painting tools.
Carrying out painting work across multi-residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Applying decorative and protective finishes to prepared surfaces.
Inspecting prepared and painted surfaces to ensure consistent quality and finish.
Completing finishing and touch-up work as required.
Cleaning and maintaining painting tools, equipment and work areas.
Following workplace health and safety procedures while undertaking painting activities.
About You
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Painting Trades Worker.
Sound knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques.
Experience using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other appropriate painting tools.
Ability to prepare and paint surfaces to a high standard.
Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Positive understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Positive organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Job Type: Permanent / Full-time
Salary: AUD $70,000 – $90,000 per annum
