Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Detailer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in estimating and detailing timber roof trusses, wall frames, and floor systems. Knowledge of Cornerstone and/or Sapphire software will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quotes for timber roof trusses, wall frames, and flooring systems.
Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
Generate layouts and cutting lists for production.
Liaise with builders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design requirements and deadlines are met.
Assist in the design and optimization of timber structural components for cost-effectiveness and performance.
Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and industry regulations.
Maintain explicit and professional communication with clients and team members throughout the project cycle.
Skills and Experience
Prior experience in a timber truss and frame estimating/detailing role is essential.
Working knowledge of Cornerstone software is highly advantageous.
Solid understanding of timber framing, truss construction, and building standards.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
