Invested Project Management Pty Ltd, a Perth-based building and construction project management company is seeking a qualified Carpenter to join our team on a full time basis. The position is based at our Spearwood premises and works on our projects across the Perth metropolitan area.
General tasks
·Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
·Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts
·Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
·Erecting framework, panelised systems and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards, and verifying trueness of structures
·Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
·Assembling prepared timber to form structures and fittings ready to install
·Cutting timber joints
·Constructing concrete formwork
In all of the above, working safely and in accordance with work health and safety requirements and site rules,
and working in with other trades to meet the construction program.
Skills and experience required
·A recognised trade qualification in carpentry (AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent), or at least three years' relevant experience in the trade
·Demonstrated experience performing the general tasks listed above on building and construction work
·Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications
·Competent and protected use of carpentry hand and power tools
·Ability to work as part of a site team and to work unsupervised, and to meet program deadlines
·Current Western Australian Construction Induction Training card (“white card”)
·A current driver's licence valid in Western Australia, and reliable transport, for travel between Perth metropolitan sites

Full time. 38 ordinary hours per week, plus reasonable additional hours as required.
