It’s time for our trains to be refurbished! & no better place for this to occur than in Newcastle, where they were originally manufactured 40 years ago…

To assist with extending the life of the fleet, Protech are seeking 20+ Vehicle builders / Shipwrights / Sheet Metal Workers to work on a variety of passenger train upgrades at our client facility based in Cardiff.

Duties will include, though are not limited too:
Read and follow engineering plans and technical drawings.
Cut, shape, and weld metal panels.
Bolt, rivet, and weld structural framework sections together.
Attach body panels to rolling stock.
Install functional parts like doors, windows, hinges, and locks.
Fit specialized equipment such as hoists, brakes & axles
