Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation:Wash, scrape, sand, and prepare interior and exterior surfaces.
Repair woodwork, fill cracks, holes, and joins with suitable fillers, and seal substrates prior to coating.
Site Setup & Safety:Erect scaffolding, ladders, and access platforms safely.
Lay drop sheets and apply masking tape to protect surrounding areas, glass, and fixtures.
Paint Preparation:Select, mix, and match paints and stains to required colors and specifications using correct pigments, thinners, and additives.
Application:Apply primers, undercoats, and decorative topcoats using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment.
Equipment & Site Maintenance:Clean and maintain painting tools, spray apparatus, and work areas.




Ensure safe handling and disposal of paints and solvents.
Site Management:Working across multiple interior and exterior sites, maintaining an inventory of supplies, and ensuring clean-up post-project.
Quality Control:Identifying hazards or defects and undertaking inspections to ensure a superior finish.
Skill & Experience
Experience:A minimum of1 year of full-time work experienceas a Painter.
Qualification:Relevant Trade Qualification (MinimumAQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating).
Safety Card:General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
Working With Children Check
Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
Licence:Valid Driver's Licence.
Technical Skills:Strong experience in surface preparation,cut and roll, and spray painting.
Physical Capability:Ability to work comfortably at heights, handle equipment, and perform physical trade work.
Safety Awareness:Valuable understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
Availability:Immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
