Role: Senior Quality Engineer – Automation
Experience: 7+ years
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworksusing Playwright and Karate
Develop end-to-end, API, and UI automation test suites
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QE teams to ensure quality across releases
Drive shift-left testing, CI/CD integration, and automation best practices
Analyse test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution
Contribute to test strategy, estimation, and planning activities
Mandatory Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in Playwright (UI automation)
Solid experience in Karate framework (API automation)
Proficiency in Java / JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience with CI/CD tools(Jenkins, Azure DevOps,



etc.)
Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and test design techniques
Experience with version control (Git)
Positive to Have:
Experience in Retail domain(highly preferred)
Exposure to BDD frameworksand tools
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in fast-paced delivery environments
Ownership mindset with focus on quality and outcomes
