The Opportunity
Our client is a highly regarded, Melbourne-based company within the energy sector, currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and innovation.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A;, this role will lead a team of four and play an important role in improving financial planning, forecasting and performance management across the organisation.
The role offers an excellent combination of technical FP&A;, leadership and stakeholder engagement, with exposure to senior leaders across a large and sophisticated business.
The Challenge
Leading and coordinating budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
Consolidating budgets and forecasts and challenging key assumptions, risks and opportunities
Analysing financial performance and providing meaningful insights into key trends and variances
Preparing management reporting and analysis for senior leadership, Executive and Board audiences
Partnering with finance and business leaders to improve financial decision-making and accountability
Developing performance measures and KPIs to improve visibility of business performance
Driving continuous improvement across planning, reporting and analytical processes
Leading and developing a team of four, building capability across analysis, planning and stakeholder engagement
The Expertise




Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
CA/CPA qualification with strong FP&A;, management accounting or commercial finance experience
Demonstrated experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes within a large or complex organisation
Strong financial analysis, management reporting and Excel capability
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders
A proactive and curious mindset, with a genuine interest in improving processes and challenging the status quo
