HC Watercart Operator (FIFO) – Weipa, QLD
About the role
Cape York Maintenance Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking aHC Watercart Operatorto join our operations team inWeipa, Queensland.
This is a casual FIFO position offering flexible roster options, day shifts only, and an immediate start for the right candidate.
You'll be responsible for operating and maintaining a semi watercart to support dust suppression and site maintenance across our mining operations.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe and productive site operations.

What you'll be doing
Safely operate a HC semi watercart across the mining site
Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
Transport and distribute water for dust suppression and general site maintenance
Monitor water levels, fuel levels and equipment performance throughout each shift
Complete daily operational records and pre-start documentation
Follow all site safety procedures and operational requirements




Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Respond to operational requests as required while maintaining a high standard of safety
What we're looking for
Current HC Driver Licence
Experience operating a semi watercart or similar heavy vehicles is preferred
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current G1 and Rio Tinto Induction, or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Reliable, punctual and safety focused
Experience completing pre-start inspections and basic equipment maintenance is advantageous
