About the role
This is an excellent opportunity to join our operations team based atLilydaleand play an integral part in supporting families and stakeholders through the delivery of a range of services.
This role is the entry level for the Cemetery Operations Officer – Burial role.
New staff will complete a training needs analysis upon commencement and undertake training within their first 12 months of employment to progress to a Level 3 which includes duties such as excavation, elevated work platform operation and shoring.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Assist the team with day-to-day operations such as grave set up & presentation
Identifying and checking accurately, the location of a grave site
Tractor trailer operation
Assist families and stakeholders with on-ground queries
Safety first: actively contribute to a workplace culture where OHS is given highest priority in all activities
About You
Demonstrated experience in a similar or comparable role
Machinery tickets such as excavator or backhoe licence (desirable)
People-focused communication and interpersonal skills
Someone who enjoys working outdoors and in a team environment
