We are a busy, established outdoor power equipment dealership inPenrithlooking for an experiencedsmall engine / OPE mechanicto join our team.
This is a excellent opportunity for someone who knows their way around a workshop, works efficiently without needing to be micromanaged, and wants to be part of a workplace that isprofessional, productive and genuinely enjoyable to work in.
We specialise in premium brands includingSTIHL, Cub Cadet, Atom and Masport.
The Role
You will primarily be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of2-stroke and 4-stroke equipment, including:
Chainsaws and concrete saws
Lawn mowers and ride-on mowers
Brushcutters, blowers and hedge trimmers
Pumps and other outdoor power equipment
You will be expected to confidently diagnose faults, identify required parts and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
This is predominantly a workshop-based role, howevercustomer service is an important part of the position.
You must be comfortable speaking with customers, explaining repairs and assisting in the retail store when required.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in alawn mower dealership, outdoor power equipment workshop or small engine business is essential.
We may also consider highly experienced candidates from closely related industries such as motorcycle repair.
The ideal candidate will:
Be confident repairing both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines
Be a capable fault-finder and diagnostician
Work efficiently with minimal supervision
Be reliable, organised and self-motivated
Take pride in completing repairs properly the first time
Be comfortable dealing with customers when required




Be confident sourcing and cross-referencing parts through supplier platforms such asSTIHL, MTD, Gripske, Jakmax and Briggs & Stratton, considering availability, price and turnaround time
STIHL & Industry Experience
STIHL dealership experience is highly regarded.
Candidates who have completed STIHL technical training, includingBronze, Silver and/or Gold, will be particularly attractive to us.
Experience usingBiscountdealership/workshop software is also a significant advantage.
Your technical experience, STIHL training, Biscount knowledge and ability to step into the role with minimal training will influence your starting remuneration.
