Industrial sewing machinist and assembler
ShadeLAB Australia is a rapidly expanding manufacturer and supplier of high-end blinds, awnings, shade systems and fabric roofing products, servicing clients nationwide.
We are looking for an experiencedIndustrial Sewing Machinist / Fabric Welding Operator/Assemblerto join our production team.
This role involves the sewing, cutting, squaring and welding of technical fabrics includingcanvas, acrylic canvas, mesh and PVC materialsused in the manufacture of premium blinds, awnings and fabric roofing systems, some assembly work putting together awnings and blinds and deliveries during peak periods.
The role requires general assembly work in addition to fabric fabrication.
General assembly skills with experience in hand tools, saws and the like are essential.

The ideal candidate will have :
Experience using industrial sewing machines
Ability to sew accurately and consistently
Experience with walking foot and/or twin needle machines
Good fabric handling skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to measure, cut, square and prepare fabric accurately
A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude
Skill using hand tool and machinery
