Container Exchange (COEX) is the government appointed organisation responsible for operating Queensland'sContainers for Changescheme.
Operating in a highly commercial and regulated setting, COEX has built a respected in-house legal team that partners closely with the business and plays an active role in strategic decision-making.
As the organisation continues to evolve, the business has created a new role for aSenior Corporate Counselto join the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer looking to broaden their practice and work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, advising on:
Strategic commercial transactions and complex contracting;
Customer & operator terms and bespoke commercial agreements;
Regulatory change and business transformation initiatives;
Customer and operator matters,



including complaints, contractual breaches and remediation;
Marketing, consumer law and intellectual property;
Development of commercial frameworks and legal documentation; and
Mentoring and supporting junior members of the legal team.
We're looking for an experienced senior commercial lawyer (approximately8+ years' PAE) with strong contracting experience, sound commercial judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
Experience gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both will be considered.
