Job Description
Senior Performance Tester (EL1) – Federal Government
Location:Canberra (Open to other Capital Cities)
Contract:12 month contract starting September **** + numerous extensions
Security Clearance:NV1 clearance required

About the Role
We are seeking an experiencedSenior Performance Testerto assess and ensure the responsiveness, scalability, and stability of systems under varying workloads.
This role will see you working closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality testing outcomes across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintaintest strategies and test plans
Design, execute, and managemanual and automated test cases(functional & non-functional)
Performperformance testingto evaluate system scalability and reliability
Create and maintaintest scriptsand ensure quality standards are met
Managedefect lifecycle, including reporting, tracking, and resolution
Develop and maintainRequirements Traceability Matrices (RTM)
Collaborate withBusiness Analysts, vendors, and technical teamsto define test conditions
Lead and coordinatetest management activitiesacross projects
Providereporting on test progress, risks, and outcomes
Ensure compliance withgovernment information management standards
Mentor and supportjunior team members
Contribute to continuous improvement ofICT testing practices and processes
Technical Skills & Experience
Experience withtest automation toolsfor scripting and execution
Solid background inperformance testing, ideally using tools such asLoadRunner
Experience withtest management tools(e.g. ALM or equivalent)
Ability to managetest execution, regression testing, and defect tracking
Familiarity withAPI testing and database querying
Understanding ofAgile and DevOps environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
