Our client is a highly regarded, purpose-led charitable organisation connecting philanthropy with healthcare, research and improved outcomes for patients, families and the wider community.
Working alongside major health, research and community partners, the organisation generates philanthropic support for life-changing initiatives spanning patient care, medical research, health innovation and community wellbeing.
Following a period of organisational renewal, our client is entering an important phase of leadership transition.
With a clear Board-approved strategy, strong public purpose and recently renewed leadership capability, the organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic stewardship, sustain momentum and position it strongly for its next chapter.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the Board Chair and working closely with Directors, the Interim Chief Executive Officer will lead the organisation through a 12-month transition period.
This is an active, visible and high-trust leadership mandate – not a caretaker appointment – requiring an executive who can balance continuity with purposeful progress.
The Interim CEO will provide steady, inclusive and values-led organisational leadership while ensuring disciplined delivery of the existing Board-approved strategy and operational plan.
A particular priority will be strengthening cohesion across a relatively new Executive team, building clarity and shared accountability, and maintaining confidence and engagement across the broader workforce.
Externally, the Interim CEO will be a visible ambassador for the organisation, developing trusted relationships with donors, philanthropic and corporate partners, health-sector leaders, government and other key stakeholders.
They will work closely with fundraising leaders to progress significant philanthropic opportunities, partnerships and other sustainable sources of income.
The role will also require robust financial stewardship, governance discipline and enterprise-level reporting,
working closely with the Board and Executive to oversee organisational performance, culture, risk and sustainability.
Ultimately, success will see the organisation emerge from the interim period stable, cohesive, financially well-governed and well positioned to make informed decisions about its future direction.
The Interim CEO may be considered for the permanent Chief Executive Officer position at the completion of the interim term.
This opportunity will appeal to an experienced CEO or senior executive seeking a meaningful, Board-facing interim mandate where their leadership can have immediate and lasting impact across purpose, people, partnerships and performance.
ABOUT YOUYou will be an accomplished, purpose-driven executive who brings significant enterprise leadership experience, sound commercial judgement, Board-level confidence and a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.

Proven experience working directly with a Board, providing transparent advice and reporting, exercising sound strategic judgement and building a trusted Chair-CEO or Board-Executive relationship.
A collaborative, emotionally intelligent and inclusive leadership style, with the ability to build trust, cohesion, clarity and shared accountability across an Executive team and broader workforce.
Highly developed stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication capability, underpinned by strong listening skills and evidence-informed judgement.
Genuine alignment with a purpose-led organisation focused on improving health and community outcomes.
Experience within philanthropy, fundraising, healthcare, medical research or another purpose-led sector would be highly regarded.
Candidates from adjacent sectors are encouraged to apply where they can demonstrate strong Board-level, stakeholder and revenue leadership capability.
This represents a compelling opportunity for an experienced CEO or senior executive to make a tangible contribution during a defined period of transition, while helping an important purpose-led organisation maintain its impact and prepare confidently for the future.
