At Leeming SHS ESC, we provide specialised educational programs to meet the needs of our students with disabilities who are aged from 12 to 18 years.

The Role
The successful applicant should display a strong understanding of the Positive Behaviour in Schools framework and Trauma Informed Practice, with a growth mindset evident in their approach to working with students, parents/carers and staff.
You would have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across the school and wider community, including families, teachers, other schools, external agencies and community groups.
The Program Coordinator – Student Services should lead a team to implement strategic and practical responses to student wellbeing, engagement, behaviour and participation in an education support context.
You would coordinate effective student support processes and complex case management practices.
Applicants should have a restorative approach to conflict and use knowledge and expertise in disability to broker positive outcomes for students, strengthening whole-school approaches to positive behaviour, restorative practices and student engagement.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the Program Coordinator – Student Services will contribute to whole-school review and planning and support the development of consistent, supportive environments across the school.
The successful applicant would also support and develop staff capability through collaboration, coaching and shared problem solving, including applying a growth coaching approach to mentor non-teaching staff based on individual needs.
The successful applicant would use evidence and data to inform decision making and targeted interventions, while working collaboratively with staff to promote positive student outcomes and a strong culture of wellbeing, engagement and participation.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
