Special Counsel - Construction & Infrastructure Lawyer

Our client is a well-regarded national law firm with a long-established Construction, Projects & Infrastructure practice operating across the eastern seaboard, recognised nationally for its litigation and dispute resolution work and independently ranked among the leading construction and infrastructure litigation teams in the country.
The team is led by a group of highly experienced partners and acts for builders, contractors, principals, developers, sub-contractors and construction insurers on some of the largest and most technically complex projects in Australia.
The Role:
There are outstanding opportunities to join this practice at a pivotal time of growth, with roles available across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and the ability to choose your base city.
You'll work alongside senior Partners and Special Counsel across a genuine mix of construction disputes, front-end contract work and insurance-related advisory, spanning contract works, property and ISR insurance claims, security of payment matters, and major loss events.
Hiring is open across multiple levels, fromSolicitorthrough toSenior Associate, with the role tailored to the right candidate's experience.
What We Are Looking For:
Admission to practise in Australia, at Solicitor through Senior Associate level
Experience in one or more of:



building and construction litigation, construction disputes, commercial litigation, contract works insurance, property insurance, ISR insurance, or first-party insurance (must have private practice experience of 7+ PAE)
Solid dispute resolution skills, including litigation, arbitration, adjudication or mediation experience
Working knowledge of security of payment legislation is desirable but not essential for insurance or commercial litigators
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a collaborative team
