Occupational Therapist
Blue Care | Cairns
Employment Term: Permanent Full Time or Part Time (3 days per week minimum)
Location: Cairns
Remuneration: $***** – $***** p/hr (dependent on experience) + Super + Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging + Kilometre Reimbursement + Penalties & Allowances + 5 weeks annual leave (Pro-Rata)

About the role
You'll deliver person-centred functional and environmental assessments and interventions that empower clients to maintain independence and improve quality of life.
Working in clients' homes, you'll provide specialised equipment solutions and pressure care strategies.
You'll also be responsible for:
Enjoy flexibility in days and working hours
Managing a wide variety of client presentations across multiple community aged care funding programs including Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Program, Transitional Care Program and Palliative Care
Conducting in-home assessments and developing tailored treatment plans to help clients meet their goals
This includes simple and complex equipment prescription, major and minor home modifications, and client education
Collaborating within a supportive statewide Occupational Therapy team of 90+ OTs with decades of collective experience, as well as working locally with a diverse multidisciplinary team of nurses, care workers and support staff

Current AHPRA registration with unlimited work rights (essential)
Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
Access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle (minimum Third-Party Property) (essential)
Previous experience in an Aged Care or Acute setting (desirable)
Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
Effective time‐management and sound clinical problem‐solving abilities
Confidence to meet all relevant probity and compliance requirements
