Job Description
As a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant, you will work closely with residents, families, volunteers and the broader care team to plan and deliver engaging activities that promote independence, connection and quality of life.

Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will:
Plan, coordinate and facilitate engaging lifestyle and recreational activities for residents.
Support residents to participate in social, cultural, religious and community-based activities.
Assist residents with transfers, feeding and toileting as required during activities.
Monitor, evaluate and document resident participation and outcomes.
Work collaboratively with volunteers, families and the multidisciplinary team.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive and resident‐centred environment.
Promote innovation and creativity in lifestyle programs and activities.

About the Candidate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate, patient and caring approach to supporting older people.
Solid organisational and time management skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience facilitating meaningful activities within an aged care environment.
Understanding of resident‐centred care and the importance of dignity, privacy and choice.
Certificate III or IV in Community Services (Lifestyle & Leisure) or working towards.
Relevant Certificate as a Health Care Worker (Aged Care).
Experience working in Aged Care.
Recent experience as a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant.
Demonstrated organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and maintain accurate documentation.
Knowledge of Manual Handling, Occupational Health & Safety and Infection Control principles.
Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
Current Driver's Licence or willingness to obtain.
Current registration with the Diversional Therapy Association of Australia (DTAA).
