About the Role
We are seeking a
Casual Security Officer – Control Room Operator
to work at the Nyaal Banyule Geelong Convention & Exhibition Centre on a 12‐hour rotating roster.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service, monitoring CCTV surveillance, and conducting regular patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Responsible for access control, CCTV monitoring, contractor sign‐in, isolations, audits, incident reports, lost property, and responding to email and phone enquiries.
Monitor and respond to alarm activations.
Conduct patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and provide excellent customer service.
Assist in training new operators and provide ongoing support.
Act as the Chief Warden when required or in the absence of the Security Manager,
demonstrating robust knowledge of emergency management procedures.
Act as the primary first aid responder, providing initial emergency response and carrying out warden duties.
Qualifications
Full Australian working rights.
Valid Victorian Security Licence with the control room sub‐category.
Valid Victorian Driver's Licence or reliable means of transport.
Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
24/7 availability to work a rotating roster.
