The Opportunity
The Store-man assists the Stores Supervisor in ensuring the safe and efficient handling and storage of all Raw materials, Packaging, Manufactured products in keeping with the DG code of Australia in order to provide the safe and prompt delivery of product to both Internal and External customers.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
Adherences to safe work policies, procedures and processes through maintaining a protected working environment, hygiene standards, use of PPE
Will liaise with the Stores Supervisor for the picking of customer orders in preparation for deliveries and or the packing of container shipments
Will assist in wrapping, strapping of manufactured product and the safe placement into the stores in accordance with the DG code of Australia
Will assist in the loading of the Delivery Vehicle and Containers
Will assist in the off-loading, verification of quantities and signing off of delivery receipts of products being delivered into Klen
Will assist in the general Housekeeping of the Stores areas within the Warehouse, DG bunkers and Yard
Will participate in any stock counts as requested by management for time to time
Will participate in safety meetings and or any program designed to improve Company efficiency and safety
Performs other duties as assigned
What are we looking for
Min. 1 to 2 years' experience in the Warehousing of DG goods and Loading containers
Must be certified in the Warehousing of Dangerous Goods
Preferred Certified in Maritime General Awareness and Maritime Function specific
Forklift License is required
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of accuracy in picking and processing orders
ENVIRONMENTAL Working Conditions & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Works in a warehouse where temperatures can be excessive.
Works in a Lead environment Fair degree of manual up to 25kg's
