Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role:
The TBM Superintendent will be responsible for the organisation and management of the equipment needed to support the Snowy 2.0 project, particularly the commission and decommissioning. The TBM Superintendent will also oversee the utility / services installation on the Snowy 2.0 project. This role will focus primarily on daily management, supervision and coordination of the Snowy 2.0 heavy construction and tunnel specific equipment.

Experience:
Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
A minimum of ****** years of specific experience working as Equipment and Plant Manager in a tunnel Projects.
Experience in the operation and maintenance on at least 1 project using pressurized face Tunnel Boring Machine
Experience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording.
Strong Fixed Plant knowledge
Experience managing major tunnelling support plants such as Slurry Plants / Waste treatment
Ability to supervise team members, work closely with safety and other departments to control and maintain project safety standards
Demonstrate a positive "can-do" attitude.
Ability to lead and manage teams
Sound knowledge of civil construction materials / service
Sound knowledge of local WHS standards and regulations

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Requisitions of certain project materials, equipment and services on the project
Interprets the intent and requirements of the design documentation and information
Performs technical administration of contracts related to Equipment or Plant
Controls all equipment that the company owns or leases for the project.
Elaborates and updates operating costs and rental rates for bids and estimators.
Maintains knowledge in federal, state, and local compliance issues
Maintains working knowledge of applicable codes and standards for a project
Enforces site safety at all times
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
Develops and maintains business relationships with workers, manufacturers, dealers, project managers, equipment managers, and subcontractors
Support work areas to ensure management plans (as identified above) and strategies are implemented, maintained and reviewed, and deficiencies and corrective actions are implemented and closed out in a timely manner
Ensure shift reports are produced that accurately reflect daily production;
Ensure changes to systems and processes are documented and communicated;
Review design drawings and provide input and check the practical application;
Monitor construction progress versus forecasts, advise Construction Manager of deviation/or variance;
Identify and resolve any IR/ER issues and escalation responsible issues to the Construction Manager and IR Manager in a timely and appropriate manner.
Develop teamwork culture so that the site teams cooperate well with each other and integrate effectively with the wider project teams;
Manage direct reports to be competent to perform their roles effectively and hold them accountable to Project performance measures.
