THE ROLE -
Group Facilitator - Connection, Strength and Recovery (CSR)
The Connection, Strength and Recovery (CSR) program is funded by the Office for Women and delivers a recovery-focussed model of support for victim-survivors through a collaborative partnership between WSSSA, Centacare Country SA and Centacare Catholic Family Services.
The program aims to strengthen recovery outcomes through therapeutic group work, peer connection, healing and community engagement.
As a
Group Facilitator
, you will design, coordinate and deliver specialised therapeutic and educational group programs for women impacted by domestic and family violence.
You will play a key role in supporting recovery and wellbeing through evidence-informed group work, community engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
Facilitating psychosocial domestic and family violence support groups with a therapeutic and recovery-focussed approach.
Developing and reviewing group programs based on participant feedback, evidence and best practice.
Supporting women to build connection, healing, resilience and recovery.
Providing advocacy, information, referrals and service coordination to support participant needs.
Developing inclusive community activities using co-design principles.
Building strong partnerships with government,



community and non-government organisations to enhance referral pathways and improve outcomes for women and children.
Contributing to program evaluation, reporting and continuous improvement activities.
This position is offered on a part time basis ******** FTE) for a fixed term until 30 June ****.

ABOUT YOU
You are passionate about supporting women impacted by domestic and family violence and are experienced in delivering therapeutic group programs that promote recovery from violence and trauma.
To be successful in this role you will have:
A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Experience in developing and facilitating therapeutic, educative group programs that build capacity and support recovery from violence and trauma.
Strong knowledge of theoretical approaches and practice frameworks when working with people experiencing domestic and family violence.
Understanding of community co-design principles and experience working collaboratively with key stakeholders and community leaders.
Experience in partnering with First Nations and CALD communities to develop culturally safe and inclusive activities and services.
Strong communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning and legislation relevant to domestic, family and sexual violence.
A current full drivers licence, and be eligible for,



or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
