The Opportunity
Our client is a privately owned, growing manufacturing business based in Sydney's western suburbs. They offer a supportive and collaborate environment, and reputation for being people-first and performance-focused.
This Financial Controller contract will allow you to take ownership of financial control, oversee a small team, and ensure robust reporting. It is a hands-on role, well-suited to someone with experience working in an SME environment, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG.
The Challenge
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely reporting
Delivering budgets and forecasts, providing commentary and decision support to the business
Preparing KPI reporting and providing commercial insights
Overseeing compliance including GST/BAS and statutory reporting
Managing working capital, including AR/AP performance and cash-flow forecasting
Driving enhancements to financial processes, controls,



and ERP systems
Leading and developing a small finance team
The Expertise
Please consider expressing your interest in the position if you have most of the following:
CA / CPA qualification with relevant post-qualified experience
Background in FMCG, manufacturing or similar industries
Experience in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance
Solid capability in cash-flow forecasting and working capital management
Experience improving processes, controls, and systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders
