The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced
Senior Structural Drafter
to join a well-established engineering consultancy working across a diverse portfolio of structural and infrastructure projects.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being given genuine ownership of their work and has the experience to independently take structural documentation packages from design development through to
Issued for Construction (IFC)
.
Projects are varied and technically compelling, spanning
industrial buildings and warehouses, reinforced concrete and structural steel structures, retaining structures, bridges, culverts and associated civil infrastructure
.
You'll work closely with engineers and other disciplines to develop practical, coordinated and buildable solutions, while having the opportunity to contribute your own experience and ideas to project delivery.
What We're Looking For
Around
5-10 years' professional structural drafting experience
, inclusive of any apprenticeship or traineeship
Previous experience within an




engineering consultancy
highly regarded
Advanced AutoCAD skills - essential
Strong working knowledge of
Revit
Proven experience producing detailed structural documentation through to
IFC
Experience across reinforced concrete, structural steel and associated structural systems
Exposure to infrastructure structures such as
bridges, culverts and retaining structures
would be highly regarded
Good knowledge of relevant
Australian Standards and industry design/documentation guidelines
Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary project teams
Confidence working independently and delivering documentation packages with
minimal supervision
A practical understanding of constructability and coordination
Experience or an interest in the
integration of AI into drafting, design or documentation workflows
would also be viewed favourably.
