Hunter Imaging is seeking a passionate and patient-focused Vascular Sonographer to join our established team, supporting services across Newcastle, Maitland and the Central Coast.
While our preference is to recruit an experienced Vascular Sonographer, we would also welcome applications from General Sonographers with vascular experience and a genuine interest in further developing their vascular expertise.

Hunter Imaging is part of the Sonic Healthcare network and one of the largest radiology providers across the Hunter, Newcastle, Central Coast and New England regions.
As part of our organisation, you'll have the opportunity to work within the Cardiovascular Centre (CVC), Hunter Imaging's dedicated vascular imaging service. The CVC is recognised for delivering specialised vascular diagnostics and patient-centred care, supported by experienced clinicians, advanced technology and strong multidisciplinary collaboration.

About the Role
As our vascular services continue to grow, we are seeking a Vascular Sonographer to help support and further develop our vascular capabilities across the region.
Perform a broad range of vascular ultrasound examinations
Contribute to the delivery of specialised cardiovascular imaging services
Work collaboratively with sonographers, vascular specialists,



radiologists and referring clinicians
Deliver exceptional patient-centred care and clinical outcomes
Support the continued growth and development of vascular services across our network
Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, learning and continuous improvement
For applicants with both general and vascular skills, there will also be opportunities to maintain and utilise a broader ultrasound scope of practice.
About You
You are a skilled and motivated Sonographer who enjoys working within a collaborative clinical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
You will bring:
Experience in vascular ultrasound imaging
Alternatively, strong general sonography experience with vascular competency and an interest in further developing this specialty area
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A strong commitment to patient‐centred care
A positive, team‐focused attitude
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
A recognised qualification in Medical Ultrasound
