The entire service now operates within a purpose-built facility alongside the Geriatric service, a 24-hour Emergency Department, Pathology, and Radiology.
The unit features a 24-bed general rehabilitation ward,



managing a diverse range of adult rehabilitation cases, including stroke and neurological conditions, amputations, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopaedic cases, and multiple trauma.
There is significant exposure to Indigenous healthcare needs, with opportunities to participate in Outreach clinics.
A private hospital with a dedicated rehabilitation ward is also co-located at the main public hospital.
Outpatient services include clinics for prosthetics and orthotics, chronic pain management, stroke, and brain injury rehabilitation.
Additionally, the facility boasts in office hydrotherapy and a comprehensive allied health service, ensuring holistic patient care.
The Requirements Current AHPRA registration Passed RACP written and clinical exam or recognised overseas equivalent and within 2 years of completing fellowship training.
