Consultant Haematologist | 305-Bed Regional Referral Centre | Queensland The Opportunity We are working closely with a major regional referral hospital in Queensland and are keen to connect with FRACP Haematologists interested in a full-time role offering scale, clinical variety and meaningful regional impact.
The position supports both malignant and non-malignant haematology across inpatient and outpatient settings, with robust integration into oncology, intensive care and pathology services.
The service manages a broad case mix reflective of a large regional and remote catchment.
This opportunity will appeal to Haematologists seeking structured regional practice within a substantial and well-supported health service.
The Hospital This 300-bed hospital functions as the principal referral centre for Central Queensland, delivering comprehensive acute and specialist services.
The Haematology service includes: • Inpatient malignant and benign haematology • Dedicated chemotherapy / oncology day unit • Bone marrow biopsy capability • Blood bank and transfusion support • 24/7 ICU on site • Multidisciplinary cancer care integration The hospital maintains referral pathways to tertiary centres for stem cell transplantation and highly specialised interventions, while delivering the majority of regional cancer care locally.
