Job Description: Position Title: Visiting Medical Officer – Psychotherapy Supervisor Employment Type: Quinquennium appointment until 30 June ****.

The appointment will then be eligible for renewal for a further five year term, subject to the applicable review and approval processes.

Selection Criteria: Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
Possess, or be eligible to possess, specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of PD – VMO – Psychotherapy Supervisor, August **** Page 4 of 4 Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)
or equivalent and evidence of subspecialty training in psychotherapy.
Be accredited, or be eligible for accreditation, as a supervisor by the RANZCP NSW Branch Training Committee.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and high standards of clinical practice in psychotherapy commensurate to experience which is appropriate to the requirements of the position.
Demonstrated expertise and commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented, family/carer-inclusive and trauma-informed principles of care.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision of psychiatry trainees, junior medical officers, medical students and non-medical colleagues.
Demonstrated understanding of the RANZCP training program and curricula as it relates to psychotherapy training requirements, and a commitment to maintaining the quality of the RANZCP training program.
