JOB TITLE: Fibre Composite Technician JOB TYPE: Full Time LOCATION: Jeyco Warehouse at 5/7 Katanning St, Bayswater, WA **** (Some onsite location with clients may be required) SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Senior Fiber CompositeRope Splicing Technician MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: · Splicing and assembling Jeyco's range of fibre composite rigging/mooring equipment · Interpret technical information to determine work scope.
· Interpret engineered drawings of Fiber Composite ropes, Mooring, Rigging and Anchoring products.
· Measure cut and assembly of fibre composite rigging in accordance with engineered drawings and in line with relevant standards.
· Assemble anchors, buoyancy, and rope assemblies in accordance with engineered drawings.
· Prepare and witness testing of engineered products to relevant standards or guidelines.
· Assist with development of products through testing and R D · Ensure products meet specifications and identify any potential non-conformance.
· Promote a safe and professional workplace.
· Packing orders organising transport inbound and outbound · Prepare documents packs for all products supplied such as certifications, tags, checklists, and delivery dockets.
· Always adhere to company QMS providing feedback on areas for potential company improvement or efficiencies · Provide expert advice on Jeyco's range of fibre composite products including inspections and routine maintenance · Advise staff of potential stock requirements or shortfalls as they are identified · Operating warehouse winches, power tools and commercial sewing machine · Travel to site to conduct product repairs, inspections and site/vessel survey is required at the discretion of the General Manager Qualifications (preferred but not essential):



· Basic Rigging and Dogging · TLID****C Operate a Forklift · HLTAID003 Provide First Aid · Current WA Driver's License SKILLS EXPERIENCE · At least 2 years of relevant work experience · Work in a physically demanding environment · Interpret engineered drawings and technical information.
· Understand and witness testing and qualification of fibre composite products.
· Operate hand and power tools, sewing machines and capstan winches.
· Ability to pay close attention to detail and make good sound decisions based on the information given.
· Execute freight, packaging, and effective logistics techniques.
· Provide professional advice to customers on the care and use of Jeyco fiber composite products.
· Proficient at splicing 3 strand, 8 strand, 12 strand and braided fibre rope products.
· Basic theory related to synthetic fibre composite rope splicing, cordage, and marine rigging equipment advantageous.
· Rope and rigging terminology · Calculating raw material requirements and interpreting manufacturing job cards · Apply manufacturing formulas to work out material quantities.
· Understand Job safety analysis (JSA) and safe work method statements · Understanding basic materials storage, handling and environmentally friendly waste management · Understand workplace and equipment safety requirements.
· Ability to multi-task and stay organized under pressure PERFORMANCE GOALS: · Work safely and follow company procedures · Manage workload to meet or exceed customer deadlines · Wear the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) · Maintain equipment logbooks and servicing requirements · Ensure a clean and tidy workplace is maintained · Work un-supervised and autonomously · Travel to site to conduct rope/rigging work
