Target Business Services Location: 79 Bransgrove Road, Revesby NSW **** Salary: $90,000 plus 12% superannuation Position: Full time, Permanent Our client Montessori Learning Tree – Revesby is seeking a passionate, qualified and committed Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join its growing early learning team.
Montessori Learning Tree is a Montessori childcare and early learning service that provides an environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, curiosity and a genuine love of learning.
The centre's educational approach combines Montessori principles with play, intentional teaching, interest-based learning, Indigenous education and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will take responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating an engaging and responsive educational program that supports children's learning, development and wellbeing.
Working collaboratively with educators and the Centre Leadership Team, you will create a nurturing learning environment that reflects Montessori principles while meeting the requirements of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.
Key Responsibilities -Develop, implement and evaluate high-quality educational programs consistent with the EYLF and Montessori principles.
-Plan intentional learning experiences that respond to children's individual interests, abilities, developmental needs and emerging skills.
-Establish and maintain a carefully prepared, engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages children to explore, make choices and develop independence.
-Observe children's learning and development and maintain accurate records, portfolios and documentation to demonstrate individual progress and learning outcomes.
-Use observations and assessments to inform future curriculum planning and ensure learning experiences remain relevant and responsive.
-Support children's development across social, emotional, physical, language, cognitive and communication domains.
-Encourage children to develop confidence, independence,
problem-solving skills, curiosity and a positive approach to learning.
-Establish warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and provide appropriate guidance to support positive behaviour and social development.
-Maintain effective supervision of children and ensure their safety, wellbeing and protection at all times.
-Develop positive and respectful relationships with parents and families and communicate appropriately regarding children's learning, development, wellbeing and participation.
-Work collaboratively with educators to maintain consistency in curriculum implementation, routines, supervision and children's learning experiences.
-Contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of the centre's educational program and practices.
-Participate in team meetings, professional discussions and ongoing professional development.
-Maintain accurate documentation and comply with applicable education and care legislation, regulations, policies and National Quality Framework requirements.
-Contribute to an inclusive environment that respects children's individual backgrounds, abilities, cultures, families and communities.
-Support the centre's commitment to sustainability, community participation and respectful relationships.
About You We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher who is genuinely passionate about early childhood education and understands the importance of providing children with a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
-A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or another ACECQA-approved early childhood teaching qualification and a minimum of one year relevant experience.
-Current teacher registration with the relevant NSW authority or eligibility for registration.
-A current Working With Children Check.
-Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, as required.
-Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.
-Robust observation, assessment and documentation skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to establish positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
-Strong understanding of children's health, safety, wellbeing and safeguarding requirements.
