The Facility The hospital is a major 305-bed regional referral centre providing comprehensive acute and specialist services to Central Queensland.
Its Cardiology Department is undergoing significant expansion as part of a strategic plan to become a regional centre of excellence.




This includes the development of a new Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, increased inpatient capacity, and an expanded Cardiac Investigation Unit.
The multidisciplinary Cardiology team delivers integrated care across the continuum, offering services such as echocardiography, stress imaging, cardiac CT, heart failure management, cardiac rehabilitation, and chest pain assessment.
The facility supports a wide range of medical and surgical specialties, providing a dynamic and well-resourced training environment for junior doctors pursuing a career in cardiology.
The Requirements AHPRA General Registration Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is required.
A minimum of two years practice within the Australian healthcare system is preferred.
Experience and qualifications in Cardiology are well regarded.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is well regarded.
