Known for generous portions, traditional flavours and welcoming service, the restaurant offers a range of popular Malaysian dishes influenced by Hakka-style cooking.
Our client is seeking to add a Cook to support daily kitchen operations, maintain consistent food quality and contribute to effective meal preparation and service.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: • Prepare and cook Malaysian and Asian dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Check ingredients and foodstuffs for freshness, quality and suitability before preparation.
• Operate ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment at appropriate temperatures.
• Season, portion and plate meals consistently with appropriate sauces, garnishes and accompaniments.
• Store ingredients and prepared food safely in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities.
• Prepare meals for special dietary requirements while maintaining food safety and presentation standards.
• Maintain clean, organised and hygienic cooking stations, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Coordinate food preparation during busy service periods to ensure timely completion of customer orders.




• Monitor ingredient usage and assist with estimating food requirements and reducing unnecessary waste.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation and safe food-handling procedures throughout kitchen operations.
• Assist with menu preparation and maintain consistent Malaysian and Asian food standards.
• Work effectively with kitchen staff to maintain efficient preparation, cooking and service operations.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: • A relevant cookery or hospitality qualification is required, together with appropriate practical experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Applicants should have at least two years of relevant experience working in a comparable Cook position.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and cooking Malaysian or Asian cuisine within a busy restaurant or commercial kitchen is required.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, temperature control and safe food storage requirements within commercial kitchen operations.
• Ability to prepare, season, portion and present meals consistently while following established recipes and restaurant quality standards.
• Proven ability to work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining accurate preparation, organisation and food quality.
• Experience preparing meals for dietary requirements and adapting food preparation methods while maintaining safety and presentation standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills with the ability to support efficient coordination across daily kitchen and service operations.
