The bakery specialises in freshly baked breads, artisan rolls, and a variety of specialty baked goods prepared daily using traditional techniques and quality ingredients.
The business is committed to maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, customer service and efficient retail operations.
Oakbake Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and capable Retail Bakery Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the bakery.
The role is suited to an individual with strong bakery and retail management experience who can coordinate staff, manage production and stock, maintain food safety standards, monitor sales and costs, and ensure the bakery operates efficiently while delivering a high standard of customer service.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: -AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant business, hospitality, retail or bakery-related discipline, or equivalent relevant qualifications and experience -Minimum one year of relevant experience in bakery, food retail or retail management, including experience supervising staff -Experience with staff rostering, inventory management, ordering and monitoring stock levels -Knowledge of food safety requirements,



workplace health and safety procedures and retail compliance obligations Key Responsibilities: -Oversee the daily operations of the retail bakery, including bakery production, retail sales, customer service and store presentation -Coordinate bakery production schedules to ensure sufficient quantities of products are prepared to meet daily trading requirements -Supervise, allocate and coordinate the work of bakery and retail staff, including monitoring attendance, performance and productivity -Monitor sales, product demand and customer purchasing patterns to assist with production planning and minimise product wastage -Manage ordering, receiving, storage and stock rotation of ingredients, packaging and retail products -Monitor inventory levels and ensure ingredients and other supplies are available when required -Maintain appropriate food safety, hygiene, cleaning and workplace health and safety standards throughout the bakery and retail premises -Ensure bakery products are prepared, displayed and sold in accordance with established quality and presentation standards -Monitor product quality,



freshness and consistency and address operational issues where required -Manage customer service standards and respond appropriately to customer enquiries, feedback and complaints -Monitor daily sales, operating costs, wastage and other relevant performance indicators -Assist with cash handling, point-of-sale procedures, banking and reconciliation processes where required -Ensure bakery equipment and facilities are used safely and report maintenance or repair requirements promptly -Train and guide employees in bakery procedures, food safety, customer service and workplace practices -Assist with recruitment and induction of new staff and provide ongoing performance guidance -Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety legislation, workplace health and safety requirements and other applicable regulations -Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, stock control and overall bakery operations Skills and Attributes: Strong retail and bakery management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple operational functions Strong leadership and staff supervision capabilities Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills Solid attention to detail with a focus on product quality, food safety and customer service Ability to make practical decisions and resolve operational issues efficiently To apply for this position, please email your resume ******.
