Fixed Term Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight plus monthly ADO Available from 31st January **** to 28th January **** Portland District Health is a 53 bed general hospital located on the picturesque coast of Western Victoria.
The hospital's surgical services include General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics and Gynaecology.
The position is well suited to doctors seeking to expand their surgical experience, including ACCRM trainees, residents considering a career in surgery or doctors planning to apply for a surgical training program.
The successful applicant will work closely with experienced surgeons assisting in theatre participating in perioperative patient care and developing fundamental surgical knowledge and technical skills.

About you: MBBS or equivalent acceptable to AMC General registration (excluding provisional/limited) Experience in Australian Healthcare system or comparable system Experience in self-management and organisation of work to achieve agreed outcome Comprehensive knowledge regarding delivery of medical services at an Unaccredited Surgical Registrar level Ability to perform initial management of common medical and surgical clinical emergency presentations on the ward or in our Urgent Care Centre High level verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in English Clinical experience in the position of an unaccredited surgical registrar or General Practice (beyond internship) – desirable Additional Post Graduate qualification in clinical field – desirable Subspeciality skills - desirable Please click here to view Position Description.
