First Nation Pathway Program Traineeship - Cooper Basin Programmed Training Services in partnership with Santos are working to create job opportunities for people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
These opportunities can act as a pathway into our Operations and Maintenance Apprenticeships and Production Operations Traineeship programs, providing an exciting career in the energy sector.
Our First Nations Pathways Program gives candidates the opportunity to work in one of the top oil gas companies whilst learning and earning an income.
Working alongside experienced mentors, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain workplace experience whilst undertaking Certificate II in Engineering Pathways (MEM*****) About the traineeship This is a full-time, paid traineeship based in the Cooper Basin (Fly In - Fly Out from Adelaide).
The Successful candidate will work two weeks on, two weeks off roster.
Preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Adelaide region; however, a FIFO arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.
The 12-month traineeship comprise of training, coaching and skills development which includes: Safety Knowledge.
Teamwork Exposure to and working with mechanical, production operators and electrical teams.
Hands-on skills.
The traineeships will be a mix of hands-on practical experience and online classroom lessons.
What we're looking for You don't need previous oil and gas or trade experience.
If you're reliable, willing to learn and enjoy working as part of a team, we'll teach you the rest.
To be successful in the role, you will need to have:
A genuine interest in building a long-term career in the energy sector The ability to work a 12-hour roster on a FIFO basis Ability to complete a Certificate II in Engineering Pathways (MEM*****), This could be demonstrated through school/work history or lived experiences.
