As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them with daily living activities, community participation, and personal development.
The role requires a compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting clients in achieving their individual goals, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Task Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Provide person-centred personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, household tasks, and maintaining a protected living environment.
Support clients with community access, social participation, appointments, and recreational activities.
Follow and implement individualised support and care plans based on each client's needs and goals.
Administer medications in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and client care plans.
Assist clients with therapy-based activities and other support programs where required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Ensure compliance with NDIS requirements, organisational policies, and workplace health and safety standards.
Work collaboratively with families, carers, healthcare professionals,
allied health providers, and other team members.
Promote clients' independence, dignity, choice, inclusion, and overall wellbeing.
Qualification Experience Essential Criteria Minimum 12 months of relevant work experience in disability support, aged care,or a related field.
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or an equivalent qualification.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Manual Handling training is preferred.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays where required.
Desirable Criteria Experience supporting individuals with high support needs, mental health challenges, or complex behaviours.
Knowledge and understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles and NDIS frameworks.
Previous experience working with individualised support plans and multidisciplinary teams.
