$***** billion in assets (as at 31 December ****) IT Partner - Service Management Specialist If you enjoy being close to the business, building trusted relationships, and making technology services work better in the real world, this role offers visibility, influence, and variety.
We offer a flexible hybrid model based out of our Martin Place, Sydney CBD office (typically three days in office and two days from home).
This role is offered on an initial 12-month basis.
About the role As our IT Partner – Service Management Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the technology our people rely on every day is reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
Sitting at the intersection of End User Computing, workplace technology and service management, you'll work closely with support teams, engineers and delivery partners to resolve complex issues, improve service outcomes and support some of Challenger's key business groups and partners.
You'll ensure technology issues are clearly understood, appropriately prioritised and progressed through to resolution.
Rather than providing hands-on technical support, you'll focus on driving outcomes, bringing structure, visibility and accountability to complex service environments.
You'll bring strong technical knowledge across modern workplace technologies and be comfortable navigating conversations ranging from endpoint management and device lifecycle challenges through to service performance, user experience and operational improvements.
What you'll be doing Own service delivery for your partner group Act as the primary technology contact for your partner group, ensuring incidents and service requests are progressed effectively through to resolution.
Escalate where needed, remove roadblocks and maintain momentum on critical issues.




Balance immediate operational priorities with longer-term service outcomes.
Build visibility and drive improvement Develop clear reporting and insights on service performance, trends and recurring issues.
Use data and operational metrics to support discussions with stakeholders, technology teams and delivery partners.
Identify opportunities to improve service quality, reduce recurring issues and enhance the end-user experience.
Help translate operational data into practical actions and improvement initiatives.
Partner effectively with delivery providers Partner closely with our outsourced technology providers to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and service commitments are met.
Use governance, influence and strong stakeholder management to drive outcomes and continuous improvement.
Challenge constructively where required, holding delivery partners accountable while maintaining strong working relationships.
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring priorities remain aligned and outcomes are achieved.
The skills and experience you'll bring We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a genuine interest in improving how people experience technology at work.
You'll understand how enterprise technology environments operate and be comfortable working across service desks,



infrastructure teams and delivery partners to solve problems, identify opportunities for improvement and drive better outcomes for end users.
You'll be naturally curious, enjoy getting to the root cause of issues, and have the confidence to challenge existing ways of working when there's a better solution.
You'll bring: Experience in End User Computing (EUC), Workplace Technology, Desktop Support or IT Operations environments.
A good understanding of enterprise technology environments, including endpoint management, workplace technologies and core IT infrastructure.
Experience working with ServiceNow, Jira, Power BI or similar tools.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify recurring issues and drive sustainable improvements.
Great verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in financial services or another regulated workplace will be highly regarded.
