This Associate Professor (Research) role sits within the Australian Living Evidence Collaboration (ALEC) team at the Alfred campus, offering an established researcher the scope to lead programs that directly inform health policy, clinical guidelines, and implementation practice at a national and international level.What You'll LeadDesign and lead large-scale, complex research programs with a focus on living evidence synthesis methodologies and their application in clinical practice and health policy contextsSecure and hold major competitive research funding, including NHMRC, MRFF, fellowships, and significant government consultanciesBuild and sustain national and international collaborations with methodologists, clinicians, policymakers and those with lived experience to co-design research with genuine reachSupervise and develop postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates through to completion, contributing to the team's research culture and capabilityWhat You BringA strong and sustained publication record with demonstrable influence on practice or policy, commensurate with career opportunityProven success in securing substantial external research funding as a chief or named investigatorDeep expertise in systematic review methods and recognised experience developing or advancing living evidence synthesis approachesA history of co‐designing research programs with government,



service providers, and community stakeholders, with the political acumen to navigate complex multisite environmentsExperience leading and managing large-scale, multidisciplinary research programs across distributed teamsA track record of mentoring early-career researchers and supervising higher degree candidates within an evidence synthesis or implementation science contextWhy This RoleThis is a fixed-term, full-time position embedded within one of Australia's most active evidence synthesis groups, located at the Alfred campus in Melbourne.
