ABOUT THE ROLE
MESHKI is in search of a skilled Garment Technician to join our energetic team. As a Garment Technician,



you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, fit, and construction of our fabric-based garments, particularly those requiring intricate tailoring techniques. Your expertise will contribute to the development of high-quality, market-leading products that meet both design and performance standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Collaborate closely with the design team from initial tech pack through to final production approval
Act as a consultant to the design team, providing advice on the appropriateness of fabrication, finishes and trims
Running investigations into high return stock to help inform future development and update customer recommendations
Ensure detailed fit comments are taken and clearly communicated to suppliers
Ensure appropriate trims, linings, etc., are added as required during the initial development phase
Flag new trims and fabrications to the QA team for appropriate testing and product logging
Maintain the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system (WFX) and ensure all fit comments are processed and up to date
Manage fit sessions with relevant buyers and designers
Make detailed comments on workmanship and quality to suppliers
Provide detailed instructions to suppliers on ways to improve fit and workmanship




Ensure the Bill of Materials is up to date as required for accurate costings and loop in buyers where issues may arise
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
5+ years of experience as a Garment Technologist with a focus on woven and jersey fabrics, preferably in premium and fast paced backgrounds
Experience with High end brands ideal but not essential
In-depth knowledge of garment construction techniques, pattern making, and tailoring principles, with the ability to communicate these effectively
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for precision and quality excellence
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Able to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate across teams
Able to incorporate customer fit feedback into new fits and re-runs of previous styles
Always actively seeking to improve product quality
Confident in flagging potential issues and proactively working to resolve them
Re-monitoring existing styles before reordering to maintain or improve fit and workmanship
Experience reading pre-shipment reports from suppliers is ideal but not essential
Willingness and ability to provide guidance to help develop team members across the design department
Excellent communication skills, including excellent drawing skills for communicating with non-English-speaking suppliers
Experience with suppliers in China (required) and India (ideal but not essential).
