The Role
This is a dynamic role with the prospect to design and implement new initiatives, work with senior leaders, and contribute to Navy Outcomes. We are looking for a proactive problem solver who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. An understanding of Seaworthiness or Land worthiness or Corporate Governance Principles would be advantageous but is not essential:
Reporting to the Deputy Director Operations, the successful candidate will:
Develop Policy Processes and Procedures to ensure SPTFOR is aligned with Fleet Direction on Governance, Performance and Risk.
Develop Policy Processes and Procedures to accurately report on status and capabilities ofSPTFOR Units
Monitor and Report Support Force Units compliance. Take the initiative to progress work to meet business objectives, provide advice and guidance on more complex issues
Perform Quality Assurance and Audit Activities Resolve problems and implement alternative courses of action
Develop and Maintain SPTFOR Risk Management Processes.
Transition AFGO 324 into the N Library
Work collaboratively, build and sustain effective relationships and provide constructive feedback. Limited travel may be required to support Assurance Activities during the period
Note: Work is mostly in an office environment. Limited domestic travel will be required for audit activities. During audit activities the successful applicant will need to moving between buildings, around operational dockyards and potential on and off ships.
About our Team
The Support Force Headquarters (SPTFOR HQ)
provides oversight of and support to all Australian Naval Establishments and all Fleet enabling Directorates as well as all the RANs inshore and offshore Support Vessels. Support Force has undergone a period of rapid expansion post the Fleet Command and Control Review and is now the largest and most diverse Force Command within the Fleet.
